I can’t quite remember why I went to South Korea.
Maybe it was a layover from China and thought I may as well take a look.
I think I only visited two or three cities, and I can’t remember much, but I do remember that I liked it — especially the food.
Bomun Lake is in the city of Gyeongju. It was built in the 70s to encourage tourism and as a result, is also surrounded by other tourist attractions, such as a theme park and shopping.
Bulguksa is a Buddhist temple, also in Gyeongju. It contains six national treasures and is a head temple of the Jogye Order of Korean Buddhism.
This specific photo is of one of the prayer rooms.
Wolji Pond is a man-made pond within the Donggung Palace grounds, which itself is in Gyeongju National Park.
The other place I went to in South Korea was Seoul. This ceremony was performed in Gyeongbokgung Palace, which is known as the “Palace Greatly Blessed by Heaven.”
Haneul Park is one of five parks in the World Cup Park. It operates solely on natural energy and it is quite nice for walking or riding around.
Probably my favorite place in Seoul was Ihwa Mural Village. It was nice to walk around and spot all the street art.
